Glamour On Pride of Britain Awards Red Carpet – tonight saw the annual Pride of Britain Awards being held to honour some of the nation’s unsung heroes.

Although all the celebrities and the great and the good are agreed that this is one night the focus is not on them there is one exception to that rule and that is the event’s red carpet.

As usual the Pride of Britain Awards are hosted this year by UK television favourite Carol Vorderman who made the most of her red carpet moment in a figure-hugging red dress that showed off the presenter’s hourglass figure. Carol is known for being in even better shape as an older woman than when she was first seen on our screens as the original Countdown presenter. Heaven help us if Rachel Riley gets better as she gets older!

Once inside the event Carol changed from her red outfit to a long white gown over a nude mesh ready for her role presenting the awards.

Other tv presenters looking particularly good tonight included Susanna Reid whose outfit really showed off her bust and we can imagine her ITV morning show producers licking their lips at the thought of a similar outfit making an appearance on the breakfast sofa and how many extra viewers it might draw in.

The awards are sponsored by The Daily Mirror, Lidl, ITV and The Prince’s Trust and are held at London’s Grosvenor House. There is no problem in getting a star-studded audience for the and award presenters for this event and this year amongst the many guests were the UK Prime Minister, David Cameron and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini who wowed the waiting crowd with a backless evening gown (Cheryl, not the Prime Minister that is).

The evening is known as being highly emotional and we guess that many a tear was shed by the audience tonight as we expect will be the case when the highlights of the show are seen on ITV. It seems harsh to single any particular winner out but this year one person above all others has made a huge connection with the country. Cancer sufferer Stephen Sutton becomes the first ever posthumous winner of a Pride of Britain award as he wins a Special Recognition award.

Stephen became known throughout the land as his campaign to raise awareness and funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust quickly moved past the £10k target he had originally set himself. He was well-known for his trademark thumbs-up photos and by the time this May he sadly lost his battle against the disease he has raised well over £4m.

In fact before the Pride awards began tonight the total showing on Stephen’s Just Giving page stood at a massive £4.97m and it was no surprise that with a little encouragement those inside Grosvenor House added to the sum and it moved past the £5m mark.

You can watch the televised version of the 2014 Pride of Britain Awards on ITV tomorrow evening (7 October) starting at 8pm but we strongly recommend you get in a fresh box of tissues before you sit down to see the show and all the heroes getting awards.

Susanna Reid Puts Her Cleavage On Show To Help Boost Ratings – the tv presenter has always had a lot of fans who tune in to see if this is the morning for another Susanna wardrobe malfunction to brighten their breakfast time viewing. Now it seems that she is bringing some of her BBC breakfast glamour back to help her ITV breakfast show’s poor ratings.

Despite just getting a show of support from ITV we can’t imagine either they or Susanna herself are pleased with the current ratings for her early morning show. She has allegedly been told to change a few things to improve ratings and her clothing is said to be under intense scrutiny with calls for brighter colours.

We are guessing that the show’s bosses will be delighted with the reactions that Susanna’s outfit got this morning with lots of positive comments on social media and the focus in the press on the presenter’s cleavage and legs rather than her falling ratings.

It was revealed later that the attractive blue lace dress that Susanna was wearing on the sofa this morning was actually from supermarket retailer ASDA and cost just £40 from their George at Asda range. We can’t think that the purchase made much of a dent in Susanna’s reported £400k salary for her breakfast show job.

Strictly’s Best Celebrity Competitor Is – a new poll has revealed who the UK public think is the best ever Strictly Come Dancing celebrity dancer and it is not who you might think.

Despite only coming 3rd when she appeared in the 4th Strictly series back in 2006 it is Emma Bunton who is the winner of the public vote to find the best Strictly celebrity.

Just in case you can’t remember the 2006 series it was eventually won by cricket star Mark Ramprakash and his professional dance partner Karen Hardy. Mark became known as something of a Latin specialist with his and Karen’s Salsa getting a maximum score of 40 from the Strictly judges. In one of the early weeks of the competition they made history when they had to restart a live routine after Mark got his stage microphone caught up in Karen’s dress. He gallantly stopped the dance to avoid Karen being splashed all over the media with a live prime time wardrobe malfunction.

Daisy Lowe’s Ice Bucket Challenge Turns Into Wet T-Shirt Contest – there have been a huge number of celebrities getting involved in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in recent weeks but we think Daisy Lowe’s attempt is probably the sauciest.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has been launched to raise awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) which is better known as MND or motor neurone disease in the UK or Lou Gehrig’s disease in the US. As well as raising awareness a lot of new funds have also been raised for the ALS Association.

There have been several forms of challenge issued with some people being dared to be filmed tipping a bucket of ice water over themselves and if they failed in this having to make a donation of $100 to the ALS Association. As can be seen most celebrities have enjoyed the chance to get some publicity for both the disease and themselves. The biggest name to refuse to be filmed tipping an ice bucket of water over themselves is US President Barack Obama who opted instead to make a donation to the charity.

Lorraine Kelly Launches New Fashion Range For Older Women – the 54-year old tv presenter has just been announced as the brand ambassador for a new range of clothing for older women.

The ITV presenter is known for her stylish and sometimes daring style of dress and the appointment is sure to be good news for older women who want to dress with style and sex appeal and are not yet ready to settle for a boring selection of clothes in their wardrobe.

Lorraine is certainly a clever choice as she has a trusted reputation amongst the Uk public and as well as covering the usual celebrity based news items is also not afraid to cover much harder hitting topics. In addition to this she also has a much saucier and sexy side to her nature. She once famously had Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr say to her on live tv that she had “fantastic tits.”

The new JD Williams AW14 range of clothing has Lorraine modelling and features some improvements suggested by Lorraine but we are told that the SS15 range will actually be designed by her as well. It seems that nearly every fashion range is looking for a celebrity endorsement and in the UK there are already a number that have attractive tv presenters fronting them with Holly Willoughby, Mylene Klass and Kelly Brook all getting involved. Is Susanna Reid Doing A “Holly” To Get Ratings? – the lead presenter of the new ITV Good Morning Britain breakfast show has been accused of getting her legs out in a bid to gain ratings.

The attractive 43-year old presenter’s legs have caused plenty of comments during the first few days of the new show as after the first day there were a number of comments on social media sites along the lines of ‘why have a Ferrari and keep it locked up in the garage’. This was a reference to Susanna’s first day on the show seeing her being mostly hidden behind a large desk. This was in contrast to her more relaxed look on the BBC Breakfast show where she was known for showing plenty of leg (and even showing the odd flash of underwear).

Surprisingly after that criticism for the lack of Reid leg on show during her first show it was Luisa Zissman who said that despite Susanna being a quality newsreader ‘the only thing sofa-warmers wanted to comment on was her legs, of which there are a zillion other pairs in the world. Talk about boring.’

Although the new GMB show started off with much higher ratings than its predecessor, Daybreak, it has lost some viewers over the first few days and it seems that many think this is the reason the famous Susanna Reid legs have been seen more in the last couple of days. This is exactly the same criticism as Holly Willoughby faced during her time on The Voice when after ratings for the show dropped off she was seen showing more and more cleavage in lower cut tops and dresses.

FHM’s World’s 100 Sexiest Women – FHM today published its list of the world’s 100 Sexiest Woman, well according to its large number of online readers anyway.

Taking the title this year is Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence who knocked her fellow US actress Mila Kunis off the top position with Mila dropping down to 6th position this year.

Second place and the title of sexiest Brit goes to the 2013 Best Celebrity Cleavage winner Michelle Keegan who has been the subject of some speculation in recent weeks over a possible place in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up. Michelle was in 4th place in the 2013 list.

Rihanna again does well in this year’s poll with her topless magazine features, many nude selfies and appearances at sports games in see-through tops all no doubt helping her to take 3rd place in the list although it is actually one place lower than last year when she took the runner-up position behind Mila Kunis.

Alex Jones Has One Show Wardrobe Malfunction – the attractive Welsh tv presenter caused something of a social media stir last night as she suffered a wardrobe malfunction during a live broadcast of BBC’s The One Show.

The 36-year old managed to flash her knickers to the entire BBC1 audience whilst she tried to cross her legs and lifted the hem of her fuschia pink dress at the same time.

It was a manoeuvre reminiscent of the former BBC1 star news presenter Susanna Reid. who has recently gone over to rivals ITV to present their new breakfast programme. Susanna had several “live knicker flashing incidents” during her time with the BBC and it looks like with Alex Jones she may have a successor to her title of BBC Wardrobe Malfunction Queen.

Alex famously got her big break on The One Show when she was brought in to replace Christine Bleakley who like Susanna Reid had gone to ITV for a substantially larger pay cheque.At the time Christine had her critics with many accusing her of being a “Christine Bleakley Lite” but she has won everyone over during the last few years and now has a solid fan base on the show.

After Alex flashed her black knickers live on air there was a large amount of Twitter activity and she was soon a trending topic. Strangely enough the wardrobe malfunction came just as she and co-presenter Matt Baker were discussing embarrassing incidents that happened to grooms on their stag nights and inviting viewers to contact them with their own embarrassing moments.

It seems that the lure of her own show together with an increase in salary from £250k to £1m plus a greatly reduced commute time was all just to good an offer to turn down.  The BBC have said that they were unable to match the terms offered by ITV although it must still be bitterly disappointing for them to lose their main morning draw to the opposition.

Ever since she was such a popular choice on the last series of Strictly it was clear that Susanna would not be content with just going back to her old routine once the show was over. She was a popular choice with other women who liked how she managed to combine a home life and children with a successful career and she was even more popular with the male audience who liked her choice of cleavage-revealing outfits and also her regular on air wardrobe malfunctions that brightened up their breakfast time.
