Katie Price Splits From Husband Just Hours After Announcing Pregnancy – for those that were surprised by Katie Price’s pregnancy announcement last weekend then we guess they will not be expecting today’s news that the couple look set to divorce.

Shortly after finding out that she was 6 months pregnant it seems that the former glamour model discovered her new husband had been having an affair with her best friend. Amongst many other things Katie is also known for writing some pretty steamy novels and this latest story could have been lifted straight from the pages of a work of fiction.

Apparently 27-year old Kieran Hayler has been having what Katie described today as a “full blown sexual affair for 7 months” with her best friend Jane Pountney. The 2 married couples have always spent a lot of time together and in fact Jane and her husband Derrick were at Katie and Kieran’s wedding at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort and Spa in the Bahamas in January last year. In addition to this the couples live only a short drive away from each other so often spend time together.

Women On Top In 2014 New Year’s Honours List – there were several big winners from the world of entertainment in this year’s New Year Honours List released today with the list containing more women than men for the first time ever.

Of the 1195 people receiving an award this year 51% are women which is a massive turnaround over the last 40 years. For example in 1974 of the total awards made just 17% went to women.

From the worlds of stage, screen and tv Penelope Keith and Angela Lansbury have both been made Dames. Penelope Keith is still best-known for her role as the social climbing neighbour Margo Leadbetter in The Good Life, the classic 70’s comedy about a couple embarking on a life of self-sufficiency. She also starred as Audrey fforbes-Hamilton in To The Manor Born and there is no doubt that both Margo and Audrey would be relishing a visit to Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen.

Angela Lansbury has starred in many movies over the years including The Manchurian Candidate (1962 version), The Picture of Dorian Gray and Bedknobs and Broomsticks. It is for her role as the detective novelist Jessica Fletcher in the tv series Murder She Wrote that she has received the most attention.

Strictly’s Flavia Marries Jimi Mistry – it has been quite a Christmas for Strictly Come Dancing star Flavia Cacace, first she won the Strictly Christmas Special with Rufus Hound and now she has married fiancé Jimi Mistry in a ceremony held at a London hotel yesterday.

Flavia and Jimi chose the romantic St Pancras Renaissance Hotel for their special day. It is known for its classic Victorian styling and its restaurant features cuisine from the 2 Michelin star chef Marcus Wareing. However the most famous feature of the hotel is its grand staircase that was featured in the Spice Girls Wannabe video as well as being their choice of venue to launch their musical Viva Forever last year.

The famous staircase was featured in the wedding day photo that Flavia and Jimi shared with their fans when they announced their wedding on Twitter. Flavia wrote on her page: ”Had the most amazing day with family & friends @StPancrasRen xxx.’ She also used the site to let her fans know that her last name is now Cacace-Mistry.

Sexy Snapchat Selfies Might Not Be Secure – it looks as though the Snapchat app, used by many to send sexy selfies, may not be as secure a platform as they might wish.

It has been very much a mixed week for the people from Snapchat. One the plus side a UK academic study has found that nearly all teenagers here in the UK regard Facebook as ‘dead and buried’ and have moved over to using Snapchat, Twitter and Whatsapp for their main social media needs. Many still keep their Facebook profiles going but just to contact brothers and sisters who are at university and for little else.

It appears the main reason behind teenagers abandoning their Facebook accounts is the fact that their parents are now using the site and in many cases it is a good way for them to monitor what is going on in their child’s life outside the family home. Also it is not too cool to use the same social media platform as your parents. It is much the same as not wanting to drink in the same bar as your parents.

For anyone not aware of Snapchat, it is an app that is used to send photos, videos, drawings and text messages to one or more selected recipients.One of its main uses however has been to send ‘sexy selfies’ and this is because one feature of Snapchat is that the user can set a time limit for how long any video or photo they send can be viewed on the recipient’s device. This time limit for viewing can currently be set anywhere between 1 and 10 seconds and so the app is seen as perfect for sending a tease photo.

Kelly Brook’s 2013 Highlights Include Her Kiss With Holly Willoughby – the curvy 34-year old model has today shared her favourite moments of 2013 and they include that steamy girl on girl kiss with fellow Celebrity Juice star Holly Willoughby.

Kelly shared her best moments of 2013 with some Instagram photos shared via her Twitter account @IAMKELLYBROOK.

That famous Brook/Willoughby smooch took place during one of the May episodes of Keith Lemon’s Celebrity Juice and both Kelly and Holly were dressed in pink dressing gowns with their hair in pigtails for their big moment. Kelly joked at the time that she was hoping the kiss with Holly might get her another job. Kelly was just finishing her stint as a regular on Celebrity Juice where she was covering Fearne Cotton’s role while she was on maternity leave.

As well as that kiss other highlights for Kelly in 2013 included becoming a godmother as well as a trip with a girlfriend to see Mayan ruins at Tulum on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.

She also chose among other highlights the launch of a new lingerie range for New Look which included a sexy photo of her posing in a very cleavage enhancing lace bra.

Doctor Who WIns Christmas Twitter Battle Plus Deleted Scene Video – as a new deleted scene from the show is released online it’s revealed that the special edition of Doctor Who was the most talked about UK tv show on Twitter this Christmas Day.

Christmas Day’s The Time Of The Doctor episode was of course when the 11th Doctor, as played by Matt Smith, regenerated into version number 12 of the Time Lord, as played by Peter Capaldi. The episode attracted the most traffic of the day on Twitter of any UK tv programme, firmly beating both Eastenders and also the day’s most watched programme, Mrs Brown’s Boys. Just during the time of the show being on air there were over 183k tweets sent with the hashtag #GoodbyeMattSmith being used almost 8k times.

It was a day of milestones for Doctor Who fans as they saw the youngest ever Doctor replaced by Peter Capaldi who at 55-years old has been criticised by some fans for being too old to play the part of the time travelling Doctor.

Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special – the Strictly story continues as Christmas Day saw the latest Special edition of the programme.

There has been a Strictly Christmas Special since 2004 and since 2006 it has been a part of UK Christmas Day tv celebrations. Although the first Christmas Specials featured celebrities who had taken part in the main series since 2010 the programme has featured different celebrities who have not taken part in the main series. This is normally due to them not being able to clear time in their schedules for such a big commitment.

This year the celebrities taking part were Ricky Norwood from Eastenders, singer and West End star Elaine Paige, Radio 1 dj Sara Cox, Rochelle Humes from The Saturdays and comedian Rufus Hound.

The winner of tonight’s Strictly Christmas Special was Rufus Hound who was partnered with 2012 Strictly dance professional winner Flavia Cacace. They danced a very unusual and entertaining tango to Never Do A Tango With An Eskimo.

Where Is Father Christmas? – this year people around the globe can again follow the progress of Father Christmas as he delivers presents to all of the world’s children.

Thanks to NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) everyone can check exactly where Santa is on his big day of the year.

NORAD has performed the task of keeping track on the movements of Father Christmas since 1955 when a local newspaper printed the phone number of NORAD by mistake in a Sears department store advert inviting children to contact Santa. This advert was placed in a Colorado Springs newspaper and when the colonel in charge of the Colorado Springs Continental Air Defense Command Centre was told about the many phone calls his staff were receiving he ordered that they tell each child ringing up the current location for Santa and his sleigh and so began the NORAD Santa tracking tradition.

First Splash! Celebrities Line-Up For New 2014 Series – the line-up has been announced for the first part of the new series of celebrity diving show Splash!.

The Splash! production team has obviously been taking a cue from the formula that has worked so well for BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and given it such high ratings this last few seasons. There is literally something, or more accurately, someone, to appeal to everyone in the new series.

From Hollyoaks comes a classic looking bikini winner in the shape of 29-year old Gemma Merna a former glamour model who plays the part of Carmel Valentine in the soap. If you want a heads up on Gemma’s approach to her look for the show then read this section of her interview with Closer in 2009: ‘Gemma’s other tip for looking great in a bikini is a killer cleavage. As a teen she dreamed of boosting her bust with implants. She spent four years researching the options before going under the knife at 21, and now describes her boob job as “the best thing I’ve ever done,” adding: “Even my mum thought they looked fantastic.”
