The 20-year old had at least 4 photos of her appearing in a high-cut revealing swimsuit stolen from her phone and then subsequently published online at celeb news site oceanup.com.
She seemed understandably less than impressed by this and after an intervention by the actress’s management the photos were taken down from the website.
She took to Twitter to express her thoughts on the matter saying: “@oceanup I would never post a picture of myself like that. I’m not taking this lightly & I will find out who stole my private property.”
At least one other celeb news site has suggested that the leak of the swimsuit photos may not be entirely unconnected with the fact that Victoria has an album due out soon and the publicity around her swimsuit photos could be seen as welcome news by many a PR firm!
Victoria did in fact return to Twitter later on to thank all of her fans for making her a trending topic. No thanks for the person who stole her phone though!
Although the stolen photos have been described variously as racy, sexy and even semi-nude they don’t seem as though they are really the sort of thing she is likely to lose much sleep over. It seems they are more swimsuit section of Miss World than dodgy sex tape material.
Victoria has been acting on television for over her half her life starting with her first appearance in an episode of the Gilmore Girls in 2003. She is best-known for her role as student Lola Martinez in Nickelodeon’s series Zoey 101. Victoria has also been involved in her own musical show on Nickelodeon called Victorious.
It seems that having your photos stolen from your phone is proving to be more and more of a risk for celebrities these days with Olivia Munn, Christina Hendricks, Miley Cyrus, Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively all suffering similar fate at different times over the last 12 months.
