Polish-born Ola has been a big favourite of the Strictly Come Dancing fans since her first appearance on the show in 2006. She has previously been joined on the show by her husband and professional dance partner James Jordan but this year he is no longer a part of the Strictly team’s plans. For those who follow the show closely it was not a great surprise as he had often been seen openly criticising some of the judging and indeed some of the judges. In particular he seemed to have a difficult relationship with Craig Revel Horwood with whom he had often had disagreements on the live show. Relations between the two worsened after Craig dropped the Jordans from the Strictly live tour in late 2011.
Strictly fans are likely to tune into the latest Celebrity Big Brother series that starts tonight after James Jordan was confirmed as one of the new celebrities entering the CBB house. We are sure that somewhere along the line he will give his opinion on what happened to him on Strictly and why he thinks that he was dropped from the main group of professional dancers. The Strictly team didn’t actually fire him as he was offered a smaller part in the new series but that must have known that he was very unlikely to accept a reduced role in the show, especially when his wife was still kept on as one of the main group of dance professionals.
Things are hotting up for Ola at the moment as in addition to shooting next year’s calendar she has also just started training with her fellow Strictly professionals for this year’s series. She recently sent her congratulations to Artem Chigvintsev who has just been confirmed as one of the new professionals on the next series of Dancing With The Stars. Artem was one of Strictly’s most popular male professionals and we are sure he will be a big hit on DWTS this year.
Looking at the shots of Ola preparing for her calendar photoshoot on an East London balcony we can certainly confirm that she is still looking hot. Her calendars have proved very popular over the last few years and on at least one occasion the entire stock was actually sold out before the end of the year.
Ola has talked about how different this year’s Strictly competition will be without both her husband James and the show’s longtime co-host Sir Bruce Forsyth. ‘It is going to be strange without James and Brucie this autumn on Strictly but I’m going to stick with it. James is supporting me all the way and I’m sure I’ll see Brucie again soon.’
The other bit of Strictly news for today is that tennis star Andy Murray’s mother Judy has been revealed as one of this year’s celebrities. Last week Frankie Bridge from The Saturdays was confirmed as the new series first celebrity.
