Eva Green shows her nipples in banned poster for Sin City A Dame to Kill ForNaughty Eva Green Poster For New Sin City Movie Is Banned – a poster featuring Eva Green in a see-through white robe that exposes her breasts has been banned in the US.

The Motion Picture Association for America (MPAA) have decided that the poster is just too sexy to be allowed. In an official statement they said that it showed too much nudity specifically the  “curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown”.

It looks like the US has a bit of a crusade against the female form this week, specifically women’s breasts, after Scout Willis made a topless protest against Instagram banning any form of female nudity on its site.

The SIn CIty movies have been almost as well-known for their sexy promo posters featuring actresses such as Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson and this latest ban of Eva Green’s promo poster is only likely to increase interest in the latest Sin City project even further. This is the ironic thing about this sort of behaviour by the MPAA, what may have been picked up by just the die-hard Sin City fans is now likely to reach a much wider audience. We are sure that the Sin City producers must be delighted by the MPAA ban. It is hard to buy that sort of publicity!

The first Sin City movie featured some pretty violent scenes but also had its fair share of erotic charge in particular courtesy of Jessica Alba’s character Nancy Callaghan, a former stripper. This latest shot of Eva Green promises that the next instalment in the franchise will have plenty to keep viewers interested as well.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, is the second movie in the SIn City saga and is based on Frank Miller’s original neo-noir comic story from 1993. The story is based around Eva Green’s character of Ava Lord, who is the Dame To Kill For referenced in the title of the original story and the new movie.

Eva Green, who was not in the original Sin City movie, first got her break in the movies in Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Dreamers but is probably most recognised from her appearance as the captivating Vesper Lynd in the 2006 James Bond movie Casino Royale.

Like many Eva Green will no doubt be a little disappointed by the banning of the new promo poster as her reaction to the US censors cutting a scene from The Dreamers was “there is so much violence, both on the streets and on the screen. They think nothing of it. Yet I think they are frightened by sex.”

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is due for general release in the UK on 29 August, one week after its US release on 22 August.
