Peaches Geldof Dies Aged 25 – just a short posting today after the very sad news that Peaches Geldof has died at the age of just 25-years old.

The model, journalist and presenter was married to musician Thomas Cohen of the band SCUM and the couple had 2 children together, both under the age of 2 years old. Her father is Bob Geldof, former lead singer of the Boomtown Rats and one of the driving forces behind charitable donations via events such as Live Aid, the charity supergroup Band Aid and many other anti-poverty causes, particularly those aimed at helping African nations.

Peaches’ mother is the late tv presenter Paula Yates who died of a heroin overdose in 2000 at the age of 41.

Peaches had spoken on a number of occasion about how she felt she had not dealt with the death of her mother. As you would expect it was a part of her life that seemed to often be on he mind and just a few hours before her death she posted a picture on Twitter and Instagram of herself as a little girl in the arms of her mother with the simple caption “Me and my mum.”

There have been many tributes from those that knew Peaches but without doubt the most moving comes from her father Bob who was the person who confirmed her tragic death this afternoon.

Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.

Writing “was” destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.

Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken.

Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof.
