68-year old Dolly today shared with her 3m Twitter followers the good news that she will be playing the famous festival on 29 June this year. Today also marks the last date on the Australian leg of her tour with a final concert played tonight in Perth.
The singer is known for her trashy but attractive look and is one of the few celebrities to fully embrace the fact that she has had plenty of work done on herself. In fact if asked she will gladly admit that there are plenty of plastic bits on her and that she always wears wigs. When asked how long it takes to get her hair done she will reply ‘I don’t know I’m never there!’
It is her breasts however that are the big talking point with Dolly. If the question is posed if they are really hers she replies that they are as she has paid for them. She looks incredibly top-heavy as she is only 5ft tall but has a bust size of 40DD.
As can be seen from the 2 photos shown here there are definitely more boobs and less waist in the older Dolly than in the younger model. nobody is sure of her measurements in the photo of the younger Dolly in a corset, stockings and heels but she has been estimated as being around a 36 or 38D.
Those breasts also have a place in scientific history as it was after Dolly Parton that scientist Ian Wilmut named the world’s first cloned animal, Dolly the Sheep. As Wilmut himself put it ‘Dolly is derived from a mammary gland cell and we couldn’t think of a more impressive pair of glands than Dolly Parton’s.’
Although the woman who has been described as a living Barbie Doll is often seen as a joke by people it would be very wise not to underestimate her, particularly as a businesswoman. She may have grown up in a very poor family as a child but these days her worth is estimated at around £600m which makes her worth around 1 billion dollars in her own currency. Not bad for a little old country girl is it! You can add to this fact that with her Dollywood theme park and her chain of Dixie Stampede restaurants she is the biggest single employer in the whole of Tennessee with almost 4k employees on Dolly’s payroll.
The Glastonbury organisers are clearly delighted to have persuaded Dolly to appear at this year’s festival with Emily Eavis saying today ‘It really doesn’t get much better than this.’
As well as Dolly other acts appearing at his year’s Glastonbury Festival are Disclosure, Arcade Fire, Lily Allen and Blondie. The festival runs from 25 to 29 June.
