Rita Ora To Star In Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie – the singer confirmed today that she is to play the part of Mia, Christian Grey’s adopted sister, in the movie adaptation of the huge selling ‘mummy porn’ book.
Rita announced the news direct to her many Twitter followers saying ‘It’s official! I’ve been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey as Christian’s sister Mia. #FiftyShades.’
It will not be the 23-year old’s first step into the world of movies as she played the role of an unnamed racer in Fast and Furious 6 which was released in May of this year. She has 3 other acting credits to her name with parts in tv series 90210 and The Brief as well as a small role in the 2004 comedy/drama Spivs.
Reaction to news of the singer’s casting in the new movie has been a little mixed to say the least. Many fans of the books seem to think she is not right for the part and has only been cast as she is a well-known name amongst a cast that is not exactly stellar. As far as fans of her music go it looks like many of them would prefer her to stick to what it is they think she does best.
Rita is certainly not one to get tied down to just one career choice as she also loves to get involved with the world of fashion too. In fact just last night she was seen at the 2013 British Fashion Awards held at the London Coliseum. She happily posed for photos with her friend Kate Moss and wore a stylish 1940s Hollywood gown for the event.
The previous week saw Rita celebrate her birthday with many of her pals and she decided on a 1970s theme for the party. Amongst the many guests was Kelly Brook another of Rita’s showbiz friends.
Filming on the new Fifty Shades Of Grey movie s due to start in Vancouver very shortly and it is fair to say that the movie is bound to give Rita a chance to show off those famous curves. She is what you might calll a ‘risky dresser’ at the best of times and probably has more wardrobe malfunctions to her name than any other UK singer or actor you can mention.
If things work out well for the film adaptation then Rita could be onto a good thing with her new movie role as her character Mia appears in both follow-up books.
