Although she was actually 33 on 29 June such is the life of a celebrity that she didn’t have a chance to celebrate until yesterday.
It certainly hasn’t been all hard work for the Welsh singer over the last few weeks though as she has been seen at Royal Ascot, Glastonbury and over the last 2 weeks she has been a regular visitor to Wimbledon for the tennis championships.
Jenkins seems to be having a much more relaxing time in the last month or so after a difficult May when she lost her recording contract with Warner Music Entertainment. The talk at the time was the singer had been demanding £1500 a day from her management for styling, hair and make-up whilst she attended promotional events.
An industry insider said at the time that this was not an unusual figure to demand but the problem was that Katherine’s record sales did not back up her demands and it is estimated that her £5.8m record deal with the company may have cost them over £2m.
On a happier note Katherine seems to have found love again after she has started dating former London Wasps rugby player Adam Bidwell. It is her first serious relationship since splitting from long-term boyfriend Gethin Jones in 2012. As well as his rugby connections Bidwell is well-known as a close friend of Prince Harry’s.
Certainly any troubles seemed a long way away on Friday night as she hit the town with a group of friends and her family. The group started off their celebrations with some cocktails on the rooftop bar at Radio in the ME Hotel on The Strand. They then moved on to STK, the exclusive restaurant in the ground floor of the hotel.
Katherine is a girl who loves dressing up for a big occasion so she was sure to look stylish for her own birthday celebrations. She wore a grey and lime coloured illusion dress which she matched with a light coloured pashmina and nude heels and clutch bag.
She will soon be seen on tv as one of the star performers at the Buckingham Palace gala performances to mark the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation. Katherine is a favourite if the Queen and was even invited to a private lunch at Buckingham Palace a few years ago.
Katherine has confirmed that she will be wearing some specially designed outfits from Suzanne Neville for the series of royal gala performances. We may have some interesting outfits to see in that case as Neville was responsible for the daring low-cut gown that Jenkins wore to last year’s Derby.
