The Oscar-winning actress married her 3rd husband, Ned Rocknroll, Richard Branson’s nephew, in a very small ceremony in December last year.
In the new Harper’s article Kate talks about how the last few years have changed her as a person and also given her additional experiences on which she is able to draw for her acting roles.
‘I think I can see more clearly now … about how the pattern of past experiences has shaped who I am, and the characters I have played … and I’m grateful for that.’
Kate was interviewed for the article by Harper’s editor-in-chief Justine Picardie and she also talks about what she thought of the Queen when she met her when she received her CBE. Kate was impressed by how good she looked and remarked what beautiful skin and thick hair she had.
As someone who was the biggest target of Seth McFarlane’s Oscar ‘boobs’ song there is often much talk around Kate’s famously curvy figure. She has in the past even taken a newspaper to court over false allegations about her weight and her exercise regime.
In an interview with German magazine Brigitte, Kate said in 2011 that she accepted her body for what it was and wanted her young daughter to have a positive image about her body.
“When I was growing up there wasn’t one woman in my environment who I heard saying something positive about her body. Everything I heard was negative, negative, negative.”
“My daughter shall grow up in an environment in which everything of her appearance is just right.”
