The impossibly curvy 66-year-old is known for her striking appearance and has helped her career for years by honing a human Barbie doll look, long before the recent appearances of those from the Ukraine.
Dolly was talking to ABC Nightline saying that whilst she has been best friends with Ogle since they were at school together there has never been any romantic attachment.
Dolly said: ‘We still just have a great friendship and relationship and I love her as much as I love anybody in the whole world, but we’re not romantically involved.’
She was appearing on both Nightline and Good Morning AMerica to help promote her new autobiography Dream More: Celebrate The Dreamer In You, which Dolly says ‘puts my own personal spin on my life.’
There has always been a lot of speculation on just how much plastic surgery Dolly has had to keep that smile youthful and more importantly to keep those big boobs of hers so perky for her age. She has never denied having work done and is on record as saying that “it takes a lot of money to look this cheap.”
Apart from being known for her pneumatic figure and her impressive record sales of over 175 million albums Dolly is also well-known for Dollywood, her family amusement park in Tennessee. Dollywood gets over 2.5 million visitors a year and the park employs a huge number of Dolly’s extended family. The park has interesting spin on the flag flying tradition as there is a huge bra flying on a flagpole when Dolly is in town.
Although she does not have any children herself Dolly comes from a large family. She was the 4th born of 12 children in a very poor family and as a young girl lived in a one room cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains.
After her marriage to the reclusive Carl Thomas Dean, Dolly helped bring up several of her brothers and sisters and many of Dolly’s nieces and nephews call her Aunt Granny.
Dolly has always been very keen to give back to society in thanks for her success and she has helped fund a number of different charitable initiatives including a literacy programme which distributes over 2.5m books a year to children throughout the world.
She is a very shrewd businesswoman and has previously been named by Nashville Business as the wealthiest country music star.
