Berenice Marlohe at Skyfall’s Tokyo Premiere – the stunning French actress looked wonderful in her red carpet outfits as the Japanese will finally get to see what has become the highest grossing Bond movie of all-time.
The 33-year old must be getting used to a life of glamour by now as this was just the latest in a long line of Skyfall premieres she has attended. As you would expect she still managed to produce 2 different outfits that had not been seen before on her other red carpet appearances.
Her first outfit was a strapless black dress with silver detailing and feathers around the bust line. The second outfit that Berenice wore was a more casual looking white and aqua gown with an open front and just a small tie working hard to contain her ample curves.
If any Japanese ladies were hoping to catch a glimpse of James Bond himself then they were likely to be disappointed as Daniel Craig has made a surprise visit to see British troops in Helmand Province in Afghanistan where a special showing of Skyfall was put on for 800 troops to enjoy.
Daniel has recently secured himself a very lucrative deal on the next instalments in the Bond series as he has negotiated a massive pay rise to earn himself an impressive £31m for the next 2, as yet unnamed, Bond movies. No doubt the very positive comments he has received for his performance in Skyfall did his cause no harm. Several articles in the British media have announced Daniel Craig’s interpretation of the Ian Fleming super-spy as the best in its 50 year history.
Before you feel too sorry for the Bond producers having to pay out so much money to their star actor then keep in mind that so far Skyfall has already pulled in a very nice £421m at the box-office. This already exceeds by 10% the total amount earned by the previous top-earning Bond movie 2006’s Casino Royale.
Back to last night’s Tokyo premiere at the Yurakucho Marion in Tokyo and Berenice was treated to a display of Bond girls through the years as a number of Japanese models provided their take on such legends as Ursula Andress and Halle Berry. One model even got her entire body sprayed with gold paint to emulate the look of Shirley Eaton’s character Jill Masterson in the 1964 Bond classic Goldfinger.
With all the great publicity she has received for her role as Severine in Skyfall it appears that Berenice is looking to relocate to LA for a while to try to make sure that she makes the most of her opportunity of playing one of the iconic Bond Girls.
By the way although Skyfall had its premiere in Tokyo earlier today it seems that the Japanese public are still going to have to wait a little longer to see the movie as it does not open throughout Japan until 01 December.
