She took home the award for Best International Designer at the Telva Fashion Awards held at the Palace Hotel in Madrid. Her clothes are worn by a huge number of celebrities and public figures including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Katherine Jenkins, Victoria Pendleton, Pippa Middleton, Brooklyn Decker, Yasmin Le Bon, Jessica Ennis, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman, Scarlett Johansson and Madonna.
Her Saskia hourglass style dress has proved a particular favourite at award ceremonies this year with Katherine Jenkins and Victoria Pendleton both wearing a version of the £3125 dress to this year’s GQ Awards. Different versions of the Saskia gown have already been worn by Brooklyn Decker, Shalom Harlow, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Moss at different events earlier in the year.
As you would expect Stella wore a dress from her latest collection to pick up her latest award. She looked great in a variation on the LBD which had grey and blue detailing and which she matched with a pair of her £420 black and white Daphne court shoes.
The new award comes just a few days after Stella picked up the British Designer of the Year Award at the Haroer’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards.
Earlier in the year Stella had her designs on show to an audience of several billion when her specially designed sportswear was seen being worn by Team GB at the London Olympics. She said of this job: ”I did get very involved, mentally as well as physically, and got emotionally drained. So much work went into it, more than I can imagine now.”
