Nicole looks in great shape as she bares her bottom in the shot, shows off her naked back and folds her arms across her breasts.
The cover shot and the other shots inside the magazine have been taken by legendary fashion photographer Mario Testino, who was the favourite photographer of the late Princess Diana. He was the man responsible for the iconic black and white shots of the princess which were said to be her favourite photographs of herself.
Testino was clearly impressed with how Nicole looked saying to her during the shoot: ‘Beautiful, beautiful,’
‘You are so hot it is beyond! Look at your body! It is incredible,’
Nicole is appearing the magazine to help publicise her upcoming new movie The Paperboy, where she plays Charlotte Bless, a sexy white-trash woman who obsessively writes to inmates in prison.
The Paperboy has clearly appealed to the racy side of Kidman as the photos taken by Testino show a whole new side to the actress. As well as baring her bottom on the cover other photos show her leaning back on a red feather cover wearing just red see through lacy lingerie which clearly shows her nipples.
The Paperboy was directed by Lee Daniels and also stars Matthew McConaughey, Zac Efron, John Cusack, Macy Gray and Nikolette Noel. Although the movie has got some good reviews it is Nicole Kidman’s performance as Charlotte Bless which has received the most favourable notices so far. She has even been mentioned as a potential Best Actress award winner for the role.
In her interview for the V magazine article Kidman admits that she finds it hard to balance her home life with the demands of being a movie actress. She said of her children: “Time is so precious and I love the sound of them and the feel of them. ”
“I just don’t want to miss anything, and I don’t want them to go ‘Where’s my mom?’ So I’m working through that.”
With regard to her movie career Nicole says: “I don’t really make decisions. I go with the flow. If I were a strategically minded person, I think I would have a far different career. ”
“But I would be more outlandish if I could. A lot of times you just don’t get the chance.”
Well it certainly looks from her current photo shoot that Nicole is keen to show everyone exactly how she would like to break from people’s stereotype views of her.
Just yesterday it was announced that Nicole is to be honoured with a special gala tribute at the New York Film Festival’s 50th anniversary event later this year. The gala for Nicole will take place on October 3. The New York Film Festival runs from September 28 to October 14 this year.
