Glee creator Ryan Murphy posted a photo of Hudson via his Twitter account with the actress showing plenty of leg in her role as a dance instructor in the new series. She is shown in the photo grabbing one of the cast around the chest whilst he is taking a hold of her left thigh which is encased in a pair of black fishnets.
Ryan is clearly excited about signing up Hudson for the show and previously posted a shot of her with fellow cast member Lea Michele. He posted: ‘GLEE exclusive: @msleamichele and Kate Hudson on the NYADA set. Kate had chandelier approval. 😉
Lea is also more than a little pleased to act with Hudson and said to ET Canada when it was announced that Hudson would be joining the Glee cast for a number of shows in the 4th series: ‘I love her! She’s one of the greatest comedic actresses right now and I just think she’s so great…so I can’t wait to work with her!’
Hudson’s Glee character is called Cassandra July and she is described as a ‘negative-reinforcement’ practicing dance instructor who is mentor to Lea‘s Rachel Berry at the New York Academy for Dramatic Arts.
As well as Hudson’s appearance as a dance instructor Season 4 of Glee will also feature a guest spot for Sarah Jessica Parker who will be playing the role of a Vogue journalist.
Glee has got a good reputation for attracting big name guest stars and earlier series have included guest slots for Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The new season of Glee premieres in the US on Fox on 13 September at 9pm (EST).
