Sofia Vergara Engaged And New Topless Photo, The Hunger Games:Mockingjay

11 Jul

Sofia Vergara Engaged – the curvy Modern Family star has been spotted wearing a sparkly new engagement ring.

Sofia is on holiday in Mexico with boyfriend Nick Loeb and a source close to the actress is quoted as saying that he proposed to her on Monday. She was seen in photos wearing a large diamond engagement ring while at a party for her friend the Argentinian sports presenter Fernando Fiore. Sofia and Fernando have known each other for years after presenting the travel show Fuera De Serie (Out of the Ordinary) on Univision, the American  Spanish-speaking tv station.

The actress obviously gets on well with her work colleagues because as well as Fiore she and Loeb were also joined on their Mexican break by Sofia’s Modern Family co-stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Julie Bowen and Sarah Hyland.

Sofia and all of her friends and family are in Mexico to help celebrate her 40th birthday. The actual big day was yesterday (Tuesday 10th) but if the reports are true then Sofia had another big day on the Monday when Nick Loeb proposed to her while they were visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of Chichen Itza.

Vergara and Loeb have had a few problems in recent months and did in fact split up for a while this May. It is thought that Vergara moved out of their shared home and into a hotel so many friends believed that it was just a temporary problem and today’s news seems to confirm that. They have been described by friends as having a fiery relationship in part no doubt down to the actress’s Latin roots.

We have a theory that Loeb realised what he was missing when he saw the topless shots of Sofia that appeared in the recent edition of GQ Mexico and quickly went out to buy a ring!

Oh and in case you were wondering Sofia Vergara has a bust size of 32F.

New Hunger Games Movie – it has been revealed today that Mockingjay, the final instalment of The Hunger Games trilogy, will be released as 2 separate movies.

The film studio Lionsgate have said that the first movie The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be released in November 2014, with Part 2 to follow 12 months later.

All concerned are obviously keen to maximise the earning potential of the series as the first movie, which starred Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, broke a number of box-office records when it was released in March this year. The movie is currently the 2nd highest grossing film of the year after The Avengers.

The Hunger Games has already made over £430m ($670m) worldwide and it is no surprise that a follow-up was announced quickly after release. The 2nd movie in the series is to be called The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and will be released on 22 November next year. The second movie will be directed by Francis Lawrence after the first movie’s director, Gary Ross, turned down the sequel saying he didn’t have time to fit it into his schedule.

The week’s other big news on The Hunger Games is that it has been announced that Catching Fire will also star the brilliant Oscar-winning Philip Seymour Hoffman. He has been signed up to play chief gamesmaster Plutarch Heavensbee and it is thought that he is also likely to play the role in the follow-up Mockingjay movies too.

Other stars joining Lawrence, Huthcherson and Seymour Hoffman are Lenny Kravitz, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks and veteran star Donald Sutherland.

The studio has also released a brief synopsis of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire which states: “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark.   Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) — a competition that could change Panem forever.”
