Rachel Weisz in Bourne Legacy, Kylie and Jason Duet

Rachel Weisz in Bourne Legacy – the actress is appearing in this month’s Vanity Fair talking about her upcoming role in the 4th film in the Bourne series.

In the photoshoot for the magazine Rachel wears a tight Tom Ford snakeskin dress that hugs her body as well as a more strappy style dress that reveals some sideboob.

The Bourne Legacy is the first of the movies in the series not to feature Matt Damon in the lead role of Jason Bourne and instead will star Jeremy Renner  as secret agent Aaron Cross. Renner is best-known for his Oscar-nominated role of Sgt William James in 2008’s The Hurt Locker although he also played the role of cannibal serial killer Jefffrey Dahmer in the 2002 movie Dahmer.

Weisz is starring in the new movie as virologist Marta Shearing who has to escape from the CIA who are trying to kill both her and Cross. She describes the new movie as having a high level of realism and it appears to be much darker and scarier than the previous Bourne outings.

The Bourne movies are often quoted as being the nearest thing in movies to a Bond rival and Empire magazine asked Rachel if she was worried about the competition between the new Bourne movie and husband Daniel Craig’s latest Bond adventure.

Rachel said: “Oh gosh, that’s an unfair question! How do I answer that? Where do my loyalties lie? To both. I want them both to do well.

“I don’t have to choose do I? People can see them both. I would like them both to sell an equally enormous number of tickets.”

Kylie and Jason Duet Called Off – like so many other events this summer the much-anticipated Kylie/Jason duet has fallen foul of the British weather.

The duet was to be one of the star attractions at a concert to celebrate the music of Pete Waterman and was scheduled to take place in Hyde Park tomorrow. Unfortunately the high levels of rainfall have turned the site into a giant mudbath. The promoters decided today that the risk to both spectators and performers was too high to let the event take place. On top of the bad weather the site was also churned up by the recent Wireless Festival that took place there.

Tomorrow’s Hit Factory Live event was also going to feature other classic SAW acts such as Rick Astley, Bananarama, Sinitta and Steps. The Stock Aitken Waterman partnership was often viewed by outsiders as a hit making machine and was responsible for over 100 UK Top 40 hits between the middle of the 1980’s and the start of the 1990’s.

The Kylie and Jason portion of the show was a major selling point with everyone looking forward to a modern take on their classic track Especially For You. The couple were known for having great chemistry and as well as their on-screen romance were actually together as a couple off-screen until Kylie left Jason for INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.

Jason seemed very disappointed that Wednesday’s SAW and Kylie reunion had been cancelled and said:

“Everyone who was heading to Hyde Park tomorrow ….. What can I say …. we are all extremely disappointed. We appreciate that you all must be extremely frustrated but please bear in mind that this decision was not taken Lightly.

“Can’t believe it …. Was really looking forward to celebrating the wonderful work of Mike Matt and Pete and all who made those songs so special to a generation!”

The concert organisers have advised that anyone who purchased their tickets for the event from Ticketmaster or See Tickets will get an automatic refund. They have said that anyone purchasing their tickets elsewhere should contact the vendor direct.

There is no word yet if there will be an attempt to get the artists together at a later event.
