She was performing a set at the Lovebox Festival in Victoria Park, London when she suffered her wardrobe malfunction. She was leaping around on stage when the top couldn’t take it any more treating the crowd to a flash of her left breast and nipple. We don’t think it was a sly attempt at impersonating Madonna’s flash at her recent Istanbul concert but celebrity flashing does seem to be a growing trend. Obviously here at What’s Hot and What’s Trending we are obliged to follow such trends!
The singer didn’t seem too worried by her wardrobe malfunction and having made a quick adjustment she carried on as though nothing had happened. She certainly seemed to have enjoyed herself at Lovebox and tweeted afterwards: LOVEBOX THANK YOU FOR TODAY. YOU WERE AMAZING’.
The 21-year old has a liking for interesting outfits as even before her little slip up (or should that be slip out?), Rita was giving the crowd a treat with the little lacy crop top paired with a matching pair of see-through white lacy trousers. Last week she wore a teeny tiny pair of shorts while supporting Coldplay at Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
Both these sightings follow on from an earlier bra-less white out=fit she wore to the Chopard party last month’s Cannes Film Festival. Perhaps Rita, who has also been romantically linked to Kim Kardashian’s brother Rob, is taking to heart people’s descriptions of her as the British Rihanna? It seems that these days it is more likely to make the news if Rihanna is seen not flashing her breasts!
As well as Rita’s boobilicious performance the Lovebox crowd also got to see Emeli Sande, Groove Armada, Kelis, Delilah and legendary R&B singer Bobby Womack.
The film is based on the 2010 book of the same name by Seth Grahame-Smith, who has also written the screenplay. It tells the fictional tale of how a young Abraham Lincoln finds out that vampires were responsible for the deaths of both his mother and his grandfather. The young Abraham then vows to kill as many vampires as he can.
The movie, which is directed by Russian vampire specialist Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch and Day Watch), stars Benjamin Walker in the title role. He made sure he had read up on the former president before filming started as he wanted to find out as much about the different sides of Lincoln’s personality as he could before taking on the part.
Walker said: “the more I learn about Lincoln, the more I learn about how multifaceted he was. There seemed to be different versions of Lincoln, the political Lincoln, the Lincoln that he shared with his wife, the Lincoln that he kind of left when his mother died.
“So I think that it’s not as farfetched as you’d like to imagine that at night he could be an entirely different person than he was during the day as a politician.”
The movie also stars our own Rufus Sewell as Adam the main vampire. This is a change from the novel where the character does not appear but it was felt that the movie would benefit from what has been described as an “uber-villain.” Sewell is known here for a number of roles including parts in Dark City, The Tourist, A Knight’s Tale and tv series Zen.
Surprisingly Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter premieres here in the UK before the US where the film opens on Friday (22 June).
