The Euro leg of the tour is set to begin in Sofia, Bulgaria on 21 August and ends on 06 October with a concert in Barcelona. There are to be 2 UK dates as part of the tour: she will play the Twickenham Stadium on 08 September and the Manchester Arena on 11 September. There is also an appearance at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin on 15 September.
Gaga has said that she has now outgrown the O2 Arena in London and has plans for a huge castle on stage as part of the show. She promises that the London show will be the “most spectacular” the capital has ever seen. There is also said to be a huge walkway extending into the stadium from the stage.
She announced: “The Haus of Gaga and I have worked for months conceiving a spectacular stage. The Born This Way Ball is an Electro-Metal Pop-Opera; the tale of the Beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating.”
Glam rock band The Darkness will be supporting her on this European leg of the tour . The Asian and Australian legs of the tour quickly sold out and much the same is expected here when the UK dates go on sale via livenation.co.uk at 9 am on 13 April. Ticket prices for the London show are expected to be between £50-80 and for the Manchester show between £60-80.
The Born This Way album has sold 6m copies since its release last May and unsurprisingly considering the title of the tour will feature heavily in the concerts. She will also however be playing tracks from both her earlier albums, The Fame and The Fame Monster.
Cheryl said that Louis never talked to the girls but just “took a cheque”. After this Louis declared the pair were no longer friends. Now in an interview with Heat magazine he goes further with the sort of remarks you expect in a school playground. He says: “What is she peddling this time? Eyelashes or hairspray? It’s definitely not her music!
“At least I am still on The X Factor and happy to be there. I’m a much better manager than she is a singer. She seems to be in the fashion business now, selling fake hair pieces, fake eyelashes, fake everything.
“Cheryl is a great clothes horse. Nice girl, but likes to get her own way. I’ve got two words to say: vocal lessons.”
“When I write my book, I’ll tell the real story of Cheryl.”
Louis’ remarks about Cheryl peddling things are because her original remarks were made in an interview to launch her latest shoe range for Stylist Pick. He also went on to ask if anyone had ever heard her sing live. We wonder if Cheryl will respond with comments about his X Factor judging performances asking if anyone has ever heard Louis talk about a singer without using the phrase “You remind me of a young (insert name of choice).”
Cheryl is talking about dropping her last name so in future she will just be known as “Cheryl” much like Prince, Beyonce and Madonna have just the one name. Much as we appreciate Cheryl she does perhaps have a way to go before she is in the company of any of this trio.
The name announcement was topically made as she released some still shots from her latest video for the single “Call My Name.” There may be a different reason for the name change of course and many hope that it finally signals she has moved on from her ex-husband Ashley Cole
