Her album knocked Madonna’s MDNA album off the top spot after just one week. Also going past Madge is Labrinth whose debut studio album Electronic Earth went straight into the No 2 position.

Minaj was talking earlier in the week about plans for her first UK tour which features 4 concerts in June this year. As well as the London, Birmingham and Manchester dates she will also be appearing at T in the Park, V Festival and the Wireless Festival.
She says of her UK dates to expect “Lots of fun and excitement, lots of gyrating, lots of girls – sexy. Lots of boobs being whipped out being signed – you know the norm.”
London cable cars. – the first images have been released of the new cable car system designed to help transportation in the capital during this summer’s Olympics.
The transport project is believed to have cost in the region of £60m and is the work of the Emirates airline.
The cable cars will take passengers from the Emirates Greenwich Peninsula Terminal at the O2 Arena on the South side of the River Thames to the Emirates Royal Docks Terminal at the ExCel exhibition centre on the river’s North East side.
It will be known as the Emirates Air Line and Transport for London said of the new transportation: “From summer 2012, the cable car will allow pedestrians, wheelchair users and cyclists to cross the river Thames within five minutes, from terminals at Emirates Greenwich Peninsula and Emirates Royal Docks.
The crossing will encourage regeneration in the area and provide access to visitor attractions.”
Up to 34 gondolas will run across the river, each carrying a maximum of 10 passengers. Transport for London (TfL) hopes that up to 2,500 people will use the cable cars every hour – the equivalent of 40 buses. No price has yet been announced for the journey.
