Angelina Jolie to make movie of Kate Middleton – the Hollywood star and husband Brad Pitt are said to be such fans of Kate & William that there is talk of a movie being made.
They apparently have a framed photo of the royal couple on the wall of their stunning French home, the Chateau Miraval in Correns, just north of Brignoles in the Var district of the country. See our earlier article here for a good view of the £35m property.
An inside source has been quoted as saying: “Angelina’s fascinated by her and says she has a wonderful aura,” an insider said. “She loves her look and common touch and says she and William radiate kindness and sincerity.”
The source was also quoted as saying that Angelina is interested in making a biopic on Kate’s life. No word was given if she is also looking to play the part of the Duchess herself.
It seems that there may be a bit of a mutual admiration society going on here as a friend of the Duchess recently spoke to OK magazine saying: ‘Kate adores how Angelina’s always so graceful and elegant and makes everything look so effortless‘. Jolie certainly does a good job in keeping family, work and charity commitments all going at the same time, something that will definitely need to be a skill that Kate has at her disposal.
It seems that the showbiz world is moving in on the Duchess much as it did on Prince William’s mother before her. We can only hope that she proves to be better able to cope with the attention and also has much better support than Diana did.
Oh and by the way it is not just Jolie/Pitt who are keen on making a movie about the new royals as Madonna has also been talking about a similar project.
Dancing On Ice Winner 2012 – the Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden has skated to victory tonight in this year’s Dancing On Ice final.
He beat off some strong competition from fellow finalists, Chico (ex X Factor hopeful and panto regular) and Jorgie Porter from Hollyoaks.
In the first part of the final each pair had to perform a favourite routine from earlier in the competition and a new showcase routine which they helped to choreograph. Each of the 3 pairs scored a maximum 30 points during this stage of the final.
The deciding section of the night involved the final two pairs of Matthew Wolfenden and Nina Ulanova and Jorgie Porter and Matt Evers skating a version of the classic Ravel’s Bolero routine. This was famously skated by the programme’s show coaches Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean when they won the Gold medal in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. This was also the Winter Olympics where judge Katarina Witt won the Gold in the Women’s Figure Skating.
Matthew had been a favourite to lift the title from early on and Katarina Witt said of his performance tonight: “From the beginning it was mesmerizing, it was gentle, it was sexy. I can’t imagine what kind of world-class skater you would’ve become if you had started as a little boy.”
Christopher Dean said of Wolfenden and Ulanova’s version of his classic routine that he had put his heart and soul into it and described their version as “sublime.”
