The couple, who have been together since 2009, were on holiday in Mauritius when Nick got down on one knee on a beach to propose.
Holly told all her Twitter followers today by posting this photo of the moment Nick proposed and saying “I said YES!!! Happiest day of my life!!!!! Xxxx.”
Nick will have no trouble keeping Holly in luxury as he owns Candy & Candy property development business with his brother Christian. The brothers do not seem to troubled by the recent economic woes as they have a portfolio of rich celebrity clients including Kylie Minogue and Gwyneth Paltrow. They were estimated to have a worth of around £300m last year. The company has amongst its assets a private jet and a luxury yacht so we are sure the happy couple will have plenty of options for their honeymoon. Oh and in case that was not enough as well as properties in this country they also have a place in Monaco.
Holly is also high in the trending news as she is this week’s face (or should that be body?) of the Euromillions draw. She wore a fur bikini for the Euromillions shoot in an homage to busty Raquel Welch’s appearance in the 1966 film “One Million Years B.C.”.
The shoot marks the lottery’s special draw for tonight with 25 millionaires being guaranteed.
Sarah, who comes from South Shields, did not start as a comic until she split up with her husband at the age of 29. Her Chatterbox Live dvd has currently sold over 160k copies which takes it well past the previous record holding dvd from French & Saunders which was released 10 years ago. Victoria Wood, to many our best known female comedian. comes in at 3rd position with her 2002 Live at The Albert Hall dvd which has only sold around a third of the copies of Millican’s recent release.
Sarah has been a regular feature on many comedy panel style tv shows, such as Have I Got News For You, in the last couple of years and her record comes hot on the heels of her People’s Choice Award at this year’s British Comedy Awards.
Any fans of Sarah’s comedy who could not get a ticket for her current tour will be able to catch up with her stand up act on a new tv series appearing on BBC2 next year. You may still be able to get tickets to be in the audience for the filming of the new series in Manchester, details on Sarah’s official website.
Sarah is quite clear as to why her brand of humour has proved so popular: “I’m just me on stage, a polished version of me, of course, I have made sure to write jokes, I’m not an idiot! What people identify with is that I’m a bit like your sister, or your mam, or your auntie. I’m just normal.”
