Kirsten Dunst, Strictly Come Dancing – What’s Hot and What’s Trending 30 September 2011

Strictly Come Dancing – the new series starts in earnest tonight with first live show.

The contenders this year include Alex Jones, Lulu, Audley Harrison, Holly Valance, Jason Donovan, Dan Lobb and among the outsiders Russell Grant.

As usual the show us hosted by Sir Bruce Forsyth and his attractive co-host Tess Daly. The judges include the usual selection of looks, campness, experience and the now obligatory Mr Nasty.

Our early thoughts are that Anita Dobson may well surprise us and go a long way, just like Pamela Stephenson did in last year’s series.

Kirsten Dunst – the US actress has been opening up about her experience of suffering from depression.

The 29-year old actress was speaking at the London premiere of her new film, Melancholia. During the shooting of the film Kirsten spent time talking to the film’s director Lars Von Trier about her experience of suffering from depression and how she sought treatment for the condition in 2008.

She said that Von Trier had talked with her about how he had battled with his own demons, ” Lars opened up to me about his experience with depression and that in turn helped me open up”. In ‘Melancholia’, Dunst plays a bride who is struggling to enjoy her wedding celebrations while at the same time planet Melancholia is heading towards earth.

Kirsten talked of how much she enjoyed working with Von Trier which will give him some much needed good publicity. Although he is undoubtedly a critically acclaimed director Von Trier got into trouble earlier this year with his remarks about Adolf Hitler. His comments saying that he could understand him earned the director a ban from the Cannes Film Festival.

Kirsten Dunst is probably best known to most moviegoers for her role of Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man series. She made herself a lot of male fans with her shots of Mary Jane in the rain!
