Demi Moore – there are concerns over Demi’s marriage today after talk of husband Ashton Kutcher having an affair on the night of the couple’s 6th wedding anniversary.
To add to this sorry tale Demi has also made a couple of puzzling posts on her Twitter page. She posted the comment on her Twitter page @mrskutcher “When we are offended at any man’s fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings.” The quote comes from the Greek philosopher Epictetus and was followed by a further tweat saying “I see through you”.
It has been alleged that Ashton had an affair with 23-year old Sara Leal whilst staying at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, California. The couple had both been at a party earlier in the night and Ashton was said to have been drinking a lot during the evening. A source was quoted as saying that Ashton’s bodyguard removed Sara’s mobile from her before the encounter but this has not stopped her from talking of a sum of $250k to keep her silence.
This story comes after a story last September of Ashton cheating with a different person, 21-year old Brittney Jones.
At least one US magazine is already saying that Demi and Ashton are separated and the marriage is over. Demi who at 48 is 15 years older than Ashton, was previously married to tough guy actor Bruce Willis.
Following on from the highly successful Amazon Kindle e-book reader the company has launched its new Kindle Fire tablet which is already being talked of as a potential iPad beater. For some while the stylish Apple device has been top of the tree in the tablet market despite strong attempts from the TouchPad, Zoom and Galaxy Tab to take over its position.
In around a year Apple has sold approximately 29m iPads so the tablet market could certainly be a good earner for Amazon if the new Kindle Fire is successful.
There are 2 main reasons that those in the know believe the Kindle Fire will pose a real threat to the iPad : firstly there is a huge loyal Amazon customer base who are used to being just a out anything they want direct from the retailer online. Secondly the new Kindle Fire is to be sold in the US for $199 compared to the price if a new iPad at $499. Despite the low cost US analysts at Citigroup are expecting the Kindle Fire to contribute 10% of Amazon’s total revenue by 2012.
The Kindle Fire will ship with the Android operating system, touch screen technology and access to the huge Amazon.com streaming movie and TV catalogue.
As yet there are no confirmed details of the UK launch. The Kindle Fire goes on sale in the US on 15 November.
