Kate Bush – normally a performer who keeps her fans waiting for many years between album releases Kate has this morning announced a new album just 6 months after her last was released.
News of the album was released via Kate’s official website this morning. The album is be called “50 Words For Snow” and was apparently recorded at the same time as her earlier release “Director’s Cut”. The album will feature 7 new songs all set against a background of snow.
The album will be the 2nd release on Kate’s own new label Fish People but unlike the earlier album 50 Words will feature all newly written songs from Kate. As such it is the first set of new songs from Kate since those on her 2005 release Aerial.
It is thought that the return links in with the news earlier in the year that Pam St Clements, who plays Pat Butcher in the soap, will leave the soap. Pat Butcher is Simon Wicks’s mother and is also mother to Michael French’s character David, another rumoured return.
After leaving Eastenders Nick played the part of PC Nick Rowan in Heartbeat from 1992 to 1998. Nick also had a brief but highly successful music career with his single “Every Loser Wins” reaching Number 1 in 1986 and becoming that year’s 2nd biggest selling single. He also had a Number 2 hit with his single “Heartbeat” in 1992.
Eastenders official sources refuse to comment on the rumour saying that they do not want to spoil any future storyline. Well that just about confirms it then doesn’t it! The smart money is on a Christmas departure for Pat, in true Eastenders tradition.
N-Dubz split – it appears that time is nearly out for the British hip hop group. Dappy has said “The band is definitely going to quiet down for the next year-and-a-half to two years. We may release some stuff every six months but it will definitely be quieter. Then, at the end of that period, we will do a Greatest Hits or Best of N-Dubz. Then that’ll be it: finished.”
The group has been in the spotlight more than usual in recent weeks with the appearance of Tulisa Contostavios as a judge on X Factor. Dappy is currently launching a solo rap career and hopes to get Rihanna on his debut album. His debut single No Regrets is expected to top the singles charts when it is released in the next few days.
N-Dubz have been around since 2000 and have 8 hits so far with their biggest success coming with the 2009 release “I Need You”.
