Winehouse engaged – reports are suggesting today that Amy Winehouse was secretly engaged to her boyfriend Reg Travis at the time of her death. The filmmaker had apparently given her a diamond ring whilst she had promised to put her wild lifestyle behind her and settle down with him. An unnamed source told The Sun that she wanted nothing more than to settle down with Reg and start a family with him. Hannah Waterman – former Eastender’s actress Hannah has just given birth to her first child, a baby boy. Hannah had announced in January this year that she was expecting a child with “The Bill’s” Huw Higginson. Hannah had also previously revealed that the pregnancy had triggered diabetes meaning that it might be dangerous for her to have any more children after this pregnancy. It was no surprise that Hannah went into acting as she is the daughter of Minder and New Trick’s actor Dennis Waterman and actress Patricia Maynard, who amongst many roles once played Edwina Dunn (Laura Beale’s mother) in Eastenders.
Cowboys and Aliens – the recently released film is in the rather unusual genre of “Sci-Fi Western”. Cowboys and Aliens stars Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford and is based on a graphic novel of the same name from 2006. On its first weekend since release the movie tied with animated film “The Smurfs” with each film taking $36.2m in box office receipts. Artificial heart implant – a 40-year-old father from London is now able to go home after receiving the UK’s first totally artificial heart transplant. Matthew Green was suffering from end stage biventricular heart failure where both sides of his heart start to fail at the same time. His “Total Artificial Heart” is hooked up to a powered backpack or shoulder bag and will enable him to lead a normal family life until a suitable donor heart can be found for transplant.
