Alberto Contador – 28yr old Spanish cyclist who has just won the Giro d’Italia, which is the Italian equivalent of the Tour de France, a race which he has won 3 times. The word lingerie comes from the Old French word linge meaning linen. The term was not in common use until the 1850’s and was originally used to describe scandalous underclothing.
